The Oceania Road Championships (ORC) is a Union Cycliste International (UCI) sanctioned event which is rotated each year between Australia and New Zealand. The event is considered to be an international sporting event of significance in the New Zealand Cycling Calendar which will draw a number of Australian athletes to New Zealand shores to earn the valuable points on offer for athletes to qualify for the Olympic Games in 2012.
The course will start and finish at Nugget Point Resort, Arthurs Point. The race will then proceed numerous laps of a 25km circuit through the majestic mountains and stunning scenery of the beautiful City of Queenstown a real race destination experience for competitors.
The 2012 Oceania Championships will be considered a platform for the Southern Lakes District in cementing itself as the premier location for adventure and endurance sports not only in New Zealand but the Southern Hemisphere and a great incentive to be involved. The ORC will help cement the Regions prospects of hosting a number of future cycling events such as Club National Road Cycling Championship in 2013 along with a potential stage on the UCI Road Cycling Tour of New Zealand.

Helping us to host this initial occasion will not only help cement its place in the future but also bring wide marketing potential for the partners.
